Feast of the Goat Queen

Rabid Brewing's Feast of the Goat Queen is the most fascinating and excitingly weird fest in Chicago's South Suburbs, celebrating Floralia with fae costumes, new beers, baby goats, live music, exotic entertainment, and an artisan market of the natural, mystical, and magical, proudly sponsored by our friends at Homewood Arts Council and Chicago Knockouts Roller Derby!

Featuring:
  • Brew Tappings

  • Small Batch Cocktails

  • NEW Rabid Public House Food Offerings!

  • Artisan Fair - Carefully curated artists from Chicagoland and as far as New York will be present to provide a unique shopping experience of the natural, mystical, and magical.

  • Fae Costumes - A renfaire for the fae folk, attendees are encouraged to dress like elves, satyrs, wood nymphs, goblins, brownies, etc. Leaf wreaths, pointy ears, or a pair of horns fit right in... but that doesn't mean we don't like the odd-one out, wear that StarCraft Cosplay if you want, we will love you for it. The Goat Queen and her flock of fae will be a spectacle on hand to greet you.

  • Baby Goats from Deer Creek Farms - Contrary to some beliefs, there will be no eating of goats. But there will be baby goats abound from 2-6PM. Have a beer, pet a baby goat. Blow kisses at the goats. Tell goat stories.

  • Entertainments of unusual style

  • Wrestling

  • Exotic Arts - 7PM is the cutoff time for the under-18 crowd for good reason. The art continues with a more exotic flavor, including burlesque. We're not going to kick folks out, but we want everyone to understand the plan here.

  • Music

  • Fire Dance Ritual - As it gets darker, out come the flames. Those who have attended Goat Queen before know the beat will thump, the sky will shout, the fire will alight and bounce through the air all to culminate in the vaporization of our burdens.
